Okay, Tatiana affecting the heavy Latina accent tonight might have been the craziest thing yet. She totally didn't have it before, and you KNOW she only did it because Jorge got so much praise for it (and got voted through) last night. She even cribbed his "thinking in Spanish and speaking in English" line! The girl is diabolical. I'm starting to get images of "Jorge" stepping out to perform next week, only it's Tatiana with Jorge's face hanging loosely atop her own as she belts "Saving All My Love for You" through his mouth hole. (props to Mark for helping me work out that particular imagery)

So my prediction of four wild cards came true. For the record, I'd have put through Matt, Jessie, Ricky, and (I guess) Anoop. Megan and Jasmine both showed their limitations (Megan's are way more severe than Jasmine's, but Jasmine was totally unremarkable), but at least it wasn't Tatiana, y'all.
I'll say right now that I totally don't get the whole Anoop thing, though I kind of understand why others would. And I thought Simon was probably at his season-worst tonight, giving completely bullshitty whitewashes to Megan and Jasmine.
Anyway, points (lots of 'em) and standings to come later on. Now get those third-contestant picks emailed to me!

Yeah, Anoop is extra big-ass not awesome. That imagery of Tatiana wearing Jorge's face, however? Quite awesome.
I think Anoop is awesome, and this is what I was trying to explain to somebody last night. On the one hand, he's a total nerd, but on the other hand, he's weirdly funky -- and, to me, not faux-funky but actually funky, and I don't know where I get that from, but he intrigues me.
