...but I need to mention that Luke Menard's "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" makes me want to douse myself and my really attractive friends with gasoline and light a cigarette.
OKAY now that I've finished the hour:
-- 4 out of 8 songs performed tonight are among my most hated songs of all time. And the other 4 ranged from "inoffensive" to "played out." And I am totally queer for '80s music, what the fuck, American Idol?
-- David Cook (with the smart-assedness last week) and Danny (with the reminding me that he's just a YouTube/text-messaging brat like everyone else his age) were all set to totally lose me this week, but I really liked both performances, so I'm back. For now.
-- For whatever reason, I really, really hate Chikezie, so Randy Jackson refusing to acknowledge his one-nameification and calling him "Chikezie Easy" gives me joy. Plus, because I wasn't around to say it to Studdard, cut it out with the shitty Luther Vandross rejiggerings.
-- Simon's Lionel Ritchie story was beyond hilarious. If Joel McHale doesn't do a "Cool Story, Simon Cowell!" segment off that on The Soup I will be very disappointed.
-- Going home? Luke and Danny, I would guess. Unless Chikezie elbows his way into the loser's circle.

I've been referring to him as "Ki-cheesy," so you're preaching to the choir there.
I have to disagree with you on Menard, though -- that performance swung all the way around to completely hilarious. I'm watching the clip at the end again and giggling.
I may be the only one besides Simon, but I hated Noriega's performance tonight. I'm still twitching.
