That's right. Thanks to Bowersox's performance of her own songs last week, I would have been served just as well by picking ONE OF THE CONTESTANTS THEMSELVES as I have been by traditional Idol warhorses Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. Jackson DIED last year, people! How on earth has that not resulted in a rash of ill-considered performance tributes?

I just don't understand this show anymore.
